About the book

A collection of exercises Improve Your Basic English is a didactic accessory for the pupils from 5th to 9th grade of elementary school, and it is meant to improve the fundamental knowledge of the English language. The exercises were selected by Sonja Votolen and Marjana Rodič. They selected them on the basis of the authors' lasting experiences with working with the pupils of elementary school. A collection of exercises stresses those elements of the English grammar that are a necessary basis for a more successful learning of the language in highschool. It offers a series of different types of exercises that enable the pupil to independently examine his knowledge and enrich his vocabulary. Besides the instructions in English, there are also Slovene instructions which will make it easy for parents to help their children with learning. Illustrations by the exercises are connected to one of the solutions in the exercise, and at the end of exercises there are solutions to them. A dense grammatical overview in the form of tables is also added to the workbook.
