About the book

The sixth book from the collection Svet na dlani was created among the Eskimos in the most northern settlements of the world – the town Qaanaaq and the village Siorapaluk. It is written in the style of an interesting novel conveying stories about the polar world and its inhabitants: a courageous Inuit teacher Juaanna Platou, an unmarried mother finishing the study of theology, a prudent and infallible Inuit hunter Quillaq who was supposed to go to the north geomagnetic pole with Bogomil Ferfila, and others. The life of the Eskimos, Greenland and the Arctic are brought even closer by the attractive color photography included in the book.
