About the book

The book Etika in odgovornost v gorah is written in an attractive, in certain places even provocative style. It offers answers to numerous ethical questions arising not only on mountain walks but also in everyday life, therefore it is not meant for alpinists only. The subjects, for example mountaineering between myth and ritual, mountain rescue as an ethical act, accidents in the mountains between necessity and coincidence, vertigo and phobia of depth, are supplemented with the Honor Code of the Slovenian alpinists and the Work Rules of the disciplinary organs of the alpine organization in Slovenia.
